Honoring Sandrino’s Sacrifice Fund Inc. would like to thank you for your support and contribution to the success of our 7th Annual Golf Outing. We are proud to say that you are all a part of our journey in keeping Sandrino’s legacy alive.

The fund’s executive board is honored to announce that we have donated $38,750 to the following organizations from this year’s event, bringing our donation total to $305,000 in seven years. These organizations all play large roles in the lives of our nation’s heroes and their families, especially some of Sandrino’s close Ranger brothers and their families.

  1. $10,000 to the 1/75 Sua Sponte Foundation: non-profit organization that directly supports the warriors and families of the 1st Ranger Battalion, specifically those wounded or killed in action. The organization also built and maintains the 1/75 Memorial at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA.

  1. $10,000 to the The Elk Institute For Psychological Health & Performance: non-profit established to provide mental health education, consultation, treatment, and clinical research service to our military and veteran communities. Specializing in the treatment of psychological trauma (PTS, PTSD, shell shock, battle fatigue, etc.), services are provided at no cost to the individual war fighter.

  1. $5,000 to GallantFew Inc.: non-profit organization dedicated to reducing US Army Ranger veteran’s unemployment and homelessness as well as eliminate Ranger veteran suicide by a unique program of one-on-one mentoring.

  1. $5,000 to Feherty’s Troops First Foundation: non-profit organization that works to provide meaningful assistance to our military that have been wounded while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan through several programs and events specifically designed for OIF/OEF combat-wounded service members and their families.

  1. $5,000 to the Lead The Way Fund, Inc.: non-profit organization that supports disabled U.S. Army Rangers and the families of fallen Rangers.

  1. $1,000 to the Everett James Katzenberger Fund: Everett’s father, Staff Sergeant Jeremy Katzenberger, was Sandrino’s close friend who was killed in action on June 14, 2011 when Everett was just eight months old.

  1. Other Donations:

    • Annual scholarship to the recipient of the Sgt. Sandrino Plutino Memorial Scholarship Fund at his alma mater Pitman High School.

    • Annual scholarship for the Pitman High School Sandrino Award: this award is presented to two PHS senior athletes that best embody Sandrino’s qualities and ideals.

    • The Pitman Pumptrack: sponsored the revitalization project where a memorial sign will be displayed at the track.

We would also like to thank everyone that traveled from all over the country to be a part of the event, especially our Ranger family! Thank you again for all your support as this would not be possible without each and every one of you!

SAVE THE DATE FOR OUR 8th ANNUAL GOLF OUTING ON FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2019. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Sincerely,

Honoring Sandrino’s Sacrifice Fund, Inc.
